PrideConnect is for adults (18+)

PrideConnect is a community app for LGBTQ+ adults to meet people nearby, make friends, date and join local hangouts. It is not designed for, and must not be used by, anyone under 18 — anywhere in the world.

01Who PrideConnect is for

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use PrideConnect, on the website and in the iOS and Android apps. There is no teen version and no supervised mode.

02Why it's adults-only

PrideConnect includes features and themes that are only appropriate for adults:

  • Dating and meeting people in person, including small real-world hangouts.
  • Content created by members: profiles, photos, posts, comments and private chats.
  • Conversations about sexuality, gender identity and relationships.
  • Discovery of people nearby (others only ever see an approximate distance).

Not allowed anywhere

Sexually explicit content on profiles, posts or hangouts, unsolicited intimate images, harassment and hate. See the community guidelines.

Always available

Block and report on every profile and chat, discreet notifications, approximate location and human moderation.

03How we check age

We use several layers, and an account is blocked as soon as any of them says the person is under 18:

  • At sign-up, everyone confirms they are 18 or older.
  • Before using the app, everyone enters their date of birth. Under-18 accounts are blocked immediately, and the date of birth can't be changed afterwards.
  • In the iOS and Android apps, where available, we also receive the age range from Apple (Declared Age Range) or Google Play (Age Signals). If it shows the person is under 18, the account is blocked the same way.
  • Members can report a profile as "Seems under 18". These reports are reviewed by our moderators as a priority, and we remove accounts we believe belong to minors.

04What happens to under-18 accounts

The account is blocked straight away, every session is signed out and the person sees an explanation that PrideConnect is for adults only. The account can't be used again, and its data is deleted following our Privacy Policy.

05What age information we keep

We store your date of birth to enforce the 18+ rule; it is never shown to other members, who only see your age (and you can hide it). From Apple or Google we only receive an age range — for example "18+" — and where it came from, never a birthdate or an ID document.

06For parents and guardians

If you think a young person is using PrideConnect, please tell us: report the profile in the app using "Seems under 18", or write to support@prideconnect.app with the profile name or username. We act quickly and delete accounts that belong to minors.

  • On iPhone and iPad, Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions can block apps rated for adults.
  • On Android, Google Family Link can block or require approval for apps on the device.
